SOLAR WATER PUMPS

Pump water with sunlight. No electricity bill.

DC and AC solar pump systems for irrigation, domestic water supply, and livestock. PM-KUSUM scheme eligible for farmers — up to 90% subsidy.

PM-KUSUM Component B

Farmers: up to 90% subsidy on solar pumps

The PM-KUSUM Component-B scheme provides 60% Central subsidy + 30% Odisha State subsidy on standalone solar pumps up to 7.5 HP for agricultural use. Farmers pay only 10% of the system cost. OREDA is the nodal agency — M-Lite handles the entire application process.

Applications

Drip / sprinkler irrigation

Matched to your field area and crop water requirement. Flow rate and head calculated after borewell assessment.

Open well / borewell lifting

Submersible DC pumps for borewells 30–200 m deep. Surface pumps for open wells up to 10 m.

Domestic water supply

Roof tank filling for homes, schools, and hostels. Eliminates electricity cost for daily water pumping.

Pond / reservoir filling

Large flow pumps for seasonal pond filling and fishery water management.

Farmers are eligible for the PM-KUSUM Component-B scheme, which provides up to 90% subsidy (60% Central + 30% State) on solar pumps up to 7.5 HP for agriculture. OREDA is the nodal agency in Odisha. Domestic solar pumps are not covered by PM-KUSUM.

DC solar pumps run directly off the panels with a MPPT controller — no inverter needed, lower cost, simpler system. AC solar pumps use a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) inverter and work with standard AC pumps you may already own. DC pumps are recommended for new installations; AC VFD systems are good for retrofits.

Surface pumps work for shallow sources up to 10 m depth. Submersible pumps can draw from 30 m to 200+ m depth depending on the pump model and system size. We select the pump after assessing your borewell/open well depth and required flow rate.

Output reduces proportionally to sunlight. Most agricultural users find they can schedule irrigation for sunny periods and store water in a tank. We size the system with your average daily requirement, not peak-day performance.
